Two PhD positions in Computational Genomics

The Computational Genomics Research Lab is recruiting PhD students in the field of computational genomics. Our lab conduct research at the cutting edge of computational biology and bioinformatics.
Location:
- Computational Genomics Research Lab, Data Science and AI division of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Research Areas:
- Development of novel methods in comparative genomics
- Analysis of genetic variation using genomic language models (See our Research and Publications).
Candidate Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Technical Skills:
- Strong programming skills, including Bash scripting, Python, and/or C++
- Experience and/or motivation to analyze biological data, such as DNA sequencing reads or genomic sequences
