The Computational Genomics Research Lab is recruiting PhD students in the field of computational genomics. Our lab conduct research at the cutting edge of computational biology and bioinformatics.

Location:

• Computational Genomics Research Lab, Data Science and AI division of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Research Areas:

• Development of novel methods in comparative genomics
• Analysis of genetic variation using genomic language models (See our Research and Publications).

Candidate Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills, including Bash scripting, Python, and/or C++
• Experience and/or motivation to analyze biological data, such as DNA sequencing reads or genomic sequences
